Technical Writer

As our technical writer, you will work with our Engineering, Product Management and Operations teams to design, create, write, and deliver concise, easy-to-understand documentation for Funambol software. You should be team-oriented with the ability to understand the needs of developers, and deliver the documents necessary to make them successful.

We are moving towards an online-centric documentation model. This is a great opportunity to help redefine our overall documentation strategy and be part of an exciting and highly visible project.

Develop and refine documentation strategy
Write online and printed documentation, both for external and internal audiences
Design document layouts and formats
Collect product details and provide product feedback

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English; fluency in Italian a plus but not required
Technical writing experience
Experience in a software development environment
Work well with people and on a team
Basic knowledge of Linux
Experience with one or more of FrameMaker, Acrobat, Microsoft Word and/or OpenOffice, Microsoft Visio or other graphing/charting tool
