Mobile Software Sales Manager
Sales Department (North America, preferably East Coast)
Funambol is the leading provider of open source mobile cloud sync and push email for billions of phones. We sell directly to mobile operators, device manufacturers, internet companies/portals, ISPs and ISVs, and indirectly via global telco OEMs and SIs. We are seeking sales managers to join our team to sell our carrier-grade solution.
Job Duties: The sales manager handles the sales and account management cycles from start to finish, with responsibility to close contracts, develop revenue and maintain relations with key customer executives and subject matter experts. Responsibilities include prospecting customers, introducing Funambol to target customers and customizing solutions to meet the requirements of each customer. The sales manager will engage with customers to deliver high-level presentations, identify key customer decision makers, record customer product and solution requirements, and lead the company in development of a proposal and process to closure. Responsibilities include negotiation of six and seven figure contracts for software licenses, professional services, training and support, and cross- and up-selling over a period of years. The sales manger will leverage corporate resources to ensure customer satisfaction and use the SugarCRM SFA system. Responsibilities include monitoring competitor activity in accounts.
Requirements
- Extensive mobile operator networks and connections
- 5+ years of successful mobile software solution sales to mobile operators
- Experience with large telco OEMs and SIs
- Ability to perform consultancy sales; listen to customer, leverage company resources and apply solutions that meet customer needs
- Entrepreneurial and able to work in a startup company environment, including willingness to take on any task for success
- Large company experience and understanding of the decision making in such companies
- Knowledge of mobile email and/or data synchronization market
- Undergraduate degree
- Willing to travel
- English is corporate language; other relevant languages used by customer are a plus
- Attributes: smart, aggressive, team player, self-directed, technically sufficient; strong interpersonal, communication and sales skills; negotiation skills, peer leadership skills, ability to perform under pressure
