Engineering Team (Pavia, Italy)

This position is a Project Manager role on our Engineering team. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for accomplishing project goals on time, working with our agile development team and managing relationships with customers and partners. A strong technical background and flexibility are important for the position. We are looking for a self-starter with a good sense of humor who enjoys working with people.


  • Project planning, resource estimation, project execution and delivery
  • Provide top-notch client management, including excellent communication, responsive follow-through and advocacy for client issues
  • Prioritize problem reports of varying severity and manage resolution of all issues within accepted service levels
  • Collaborate with peers e.g. engineering, product management, support, to resolve client issues while actively contributing to a growing knowledgebase


You will be tested for these.

  • Working knowledge of Java
  • Agile development (Scrum/XP/Lean)
  • At least 1-2 years experience in one or more of: Project Management; Enterprise technical support; QA; Systems administration; Engineering/Development; Operations/IT
  • Hands-on experience with *nix environments
  • Solid troubleshooting: ability to analyze customer issues and diagnose problems
  • Familiarity with web/app servers (Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, JBOSS, WebSphere, etc.)
  • Familiarity with web presentation technologies (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, etc.)
  • Availability for periodic travel (normally less than one week) in Europe and abroad
  • Good oral and written communication skills - we don't need Barack Obama or Frank McCourt but you must be comfortable talking to people and writing intelligible documents
