The Funambol iPhone plug-in is free software that makes it easy to wirelessly migrate and sync contacts between your iPhone and older
phones as well as webmail systems and email clients such as Outlook and Thunderbird. It provides a great way to back up your iPhone
contacts and to keep your contacts in sync, anytime, anywhere, no cable required.

To migrate contacts from an older phone to an iPhone 3G, follow these steps:
- Sign up for a free account on the myFUNAMBOL portal. Put in your old
phone. Follow the on-screen instructions. myFUNAMBOL is able to configure most phones over-the-air, eliminating a lot of typing. This results in your old phone's address book being synced to the portal.
- On your myFUNAMBOL home page, click "Change my phone" on the left. Change your phone to the iPhone 3G, follow the
instructions to install the Funambol plug-in from the App Store, put your credentials into the plug-in and sync.
The Funambol iPhone plug-in works with the iPhone 3G as well as the original iPhone and iPod touch that have been updated for 2.0.
It requires a free Funambol server account. The easiest thing to do is to sign up for a free account on the
myFUNAMBOL portal. Please note that syncing contacts from your iPhone
over-the-air to a Funambol server makes use of the iPhone's internet connection (and may result in data charges from your mobile
operator, depending on your iPhone data plan).
The Funambol iPhone plug-in can be freely downloaded from the Apple App Store via iTunes 7.7 or later -- if you do not see the
