Funambol Picture Sync

Funambol automatically syncs pictures from mobile phones to a cloud-based portal, where pictures can be viewed, managed and shared.

To view a demo of Funambol picture sync, visit our recorded events page.

Pictures in the portal can be enlarged, rotated, downloaded (to a file system), renamed and deleted. Funambol can also automatically sync photos to a folder on PCs. The software supports thousands of mobile phones, including Symbian (e.g. Nokia), Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile devices. Funambol is constantly expanding the set of supported devices and picture sync capabilities, so check this page often for the latest updates.

The following overview provides an introduction to Funambol picture sync. If you have a supported phone, you can try it on the myFUNAMBOL portal. Picture sync is only in Funambol Carrier Edition, not Community Edition. For more information, please contact a Funambol sales representative.

Picture Sync Overview

Funambol makes it easy to sync photos from mobile phones to the cloud. Simply take pictures on a phone as you normally would. The Funambol sync client on your phone can automatically sync pictures at specified time intervals to the Funambol portal, or you can manually sync them when you want.

To see your pictures online, log in to the Funambol portal. The portal enables you to perform a variety of operations on your pictures, such as view, rotate, resize and download pictures to the file system.

This screenshot shows pictures that have been synced from a phone to the portal, and a menu of operations that can be performed.

If you use MS Outlook, the Funambol Outlook Sync client can automatically or manually sync photos to a folder on your Windows PC.
